Hello, My DD is sitting for 11+ exam in September 2021 I don't no whether its just me or everybody else feeling nervous regrading the exam. Of course trying hide my nervousness in front of my DD she is really working hard and scoring in the range of 70% to 80% in the mock exams. I feel is a that enough to secure a place in grammar school or she should be scoring bit more high Sad . She is a very hard working child and I don't want her to be disappointed and don't want her to feel the hard work she put in is not worth.

The post header says September 2020, some will think this is an old thread.

Which grammar school region are you in and which mock tests has she sat?

My son did this a few years ago for the few London grammars and private schools. She sounds on track of she's getting 70-80% now but from our experience I think you need to be in the upper 80's-90's by September. It's a v stressful experience but sounds like she's doing really well.

The commentary on the Sutton mocks said the scores are lower this year - guessing the lockdowns have affected this cohort. A score in that region is prob top 10% based on the Sutton exams so I think she is more than on course.
