School skirts with pockets

Do they exist? Kids at our school still have to carry face masks and mini hand sanitizer. This was easy when they were wearing blazers with multiple handy pockets. Now blazers are out for summer. Trousers and shorts invariably have 2 decent pockets. Skirts.....apparently not. DD not keen on shorts. Do skirts with 2 pockets really not exist? Might have to brush up my sewing skills Confused

DD's tended to have pockets (M&S), but blazers worn/carried throughout the summer term unless unusually hot.

Quite a few of ours have started using hand sanitisers on a lanyard around their necks

DD is still wearing her blazer between lessons and just takes it off in class. She also carries her pencil case and school diary in blazer pockets so not having it, is a pain!
I don't know if school skirts with pockets exist, but wouldn't their presence prevent the apparently mandatory "rolling up of skirt" that all secondary age DC seem to do?

That's a reason DD will continue with the blazer.

Her unique school skirt has a pocket but you can only access it if you either unzip it and put your hand down or you hike the whole skirt up to the waist. Whoever designed it should be shot.

Same here, DD has more stuff in her blazer pockets than anywhere else. She could survive in the wilderness with it.

We had a purse belt as part of our school uniform - wide elastic with pocket built in

Amazon has them in various colours

But that sounds like the perfect place to discretely store tampons!

Which none of them will wear as they can't wash the hands properly in manky toilet blocks (maintance funds eaten away by COVID).

But I agree, that may have been a reason for it. But in a pleated kilt, there is plenty of fabric to have a discreet cut to use the pocket in a n ormal way.
