SW London Girls' Private & Grammar - applying for year 7 in 2022

I watched with interest the information and support on this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/secondary/4177427-PART-3-SW-London-Girls-Indies-11-Results-Decisions-Panic-Over and wanted to start the same thread for South West London parents with daughters who will be applying for secondaries (independents and grammar) for places in year 7 in Sept 2022.

Where are you applying, how are the virtual open days going..... and to tutor or not to tutor?

All of DD's offers seams to scheduled for 11th... just a little longer 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
@HighRopes you said that SPGS will send the offers on 10th already, is it by mail or email?

@Confusedmimfromberlin The email I have says “The result of XXXXX’s application to St Paul’s will be emailed on Thursday 10 February 2022. Parents can contact the Admissions Office during the half term break via email if results have not been received by then.”.

Oh yay we got an offer from PHS too and a music scholarship! Had to get my husband to refresh his email a thousand times as for some reason emails from Putney are delayed to my address (better sort that out if we go!)

I also have delays on my emails from Putney but, logging into the portal, I think we have good news. Waiting for final confirmation before getting very excited. It is our first choice.

I hope so! Your username has reminded me of a question: how many girls travel to Putney from Tooting and balham ie via train at clapham junction? I’m sure it’s not many but it would be nice if it was more than just our DD.

My daughter would also be travelling to PHS from Clapham Junction and I heard there are quite a few of them. Hope so!

Congrats on those with PHS offers. Email was a bit slow but we also received an offer and can’t wait to tell DD as it’s her first choice. Nice to not have to stress about this anymore! And so glad they told us before 11/2.

Oh la la, it's that time of year again! Wishing your DDs so much good luck and well done for conquering the 11+!!! DD is at Godolphin and Latymer, and it really is as wonderful as everyone says. Happy to answer any questions here or via PM. I remember that Putney was a close second choice so congratulations on those offers. Loving the username @NYCtoPutney !

Woohoo. Email finally arrived. PHS offer with a lovely music scholarship. Just off to collect DD now. Can’t wait to tell her. Well done everyone and see some of you there I hope!!

Violin and piano. It was her last audition and she was so cold and tired bless her. Do you remember how dark it was that evening? DD really thought she’d muffed it so a very nice surprise and Mr Patterson is fab don’t you think?!

The Putney High results have just been emailed - earlier than we thought and thank goodness for the stress is over!

LEH will be in post. Only their website says Monday 8 Feb. I am not sure whether it is today or tomorrow the post will go out?

NHEHS is Friday 11 February same as other schools in London 11+ consortium. Good luck to all
