SW London Girls' Private & Grammar - applying for year 7 in 2022

I watched with interest the information and support on this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/secondary/4177427-PART-3-SW-London-Girls-Indies-11-Results-Decisions-Panic-Over and wanted to start the same thread for South West London parents with daughters who will be applying for secondaries (independents and grammar) for places in year 7 in Sept 2022.

Where are you applying, how are the virtual open days going..... and to tutor or not to tutor?

@Westlondonmom22 yes! We got an email just after 3 from spgs - DD invited for interview, absolutely thrilled (and shocked!). Well done to your girls @puzzledmom and @sugar001 and good luck to all those waiting on emails, I was expecting it tomorrow!

My DH got email 20 min before me. I was refreshing since 9 this morning. We don’t know yet the interview date, said they are still finalising and interview will be on 17th to 21st.

Anyone doing G&L interview on Friday and what time? Mine is at 2.30.

@sugar001 yes we're doing G&L on Fri at 3:15 pm.

DD got an interview too congratulations to everyone who got to the interview stage. Now the stress of interview on Friday starts… anyone heard from LEH yet?

Us too - email from SPGS around 3pm. I wonder how many out of the 420 they're interviewing?
No word from LEH but I think probably Friday? Also they seem to send letters rather than email?
DD doing G&L at 11:30am on Friday. Anyone else doing NH&EHS tomorrow?

@LAgirl, yes DD is off to NHEHS tomorrow. It's her first choice so fingers crossed!

@Westlondonmom22, as well as NHEHS, DD has applied to LU, LEH, PHS, FHSS, St Benedict's and St Augustine's Priory. Three of the schools were ISEB so a total of five exams with three at the end of Nov/start Dec and the other two in the past week. We went for a spread because I find it hard to tell where she is ability-wise.

She is through to the second round at PHS but her interview is at the same time as that in FHSS. I emailed FH on Monday to ask if they could change the time but haven't heard back from them yet.

If you don’t me asking, what is the interval between doing the tests and you getting interview offers?

All the wait and nerves are really exhausting...

@Westlondonmom22 so G&L will do online? Best of luck for SHHS we didn’t apply so have no idea on their process

@Westlondonmom22 yes, online for both, in case of the positive answer, of course.
SHHS is the same as G&L, ISEB, reference and interview.
SHHS wrote right away that they would organize online interviews for overseas candidates, the general feeling they are accustomed to overseas candidates.
Our school range is a bit weird and stretched over the city, since we are not local yet and don't have an address. Was planning to start actively looking after the first school is done.
My son is 8, so for him it's gonna be an occasional place and this process starts in March.

Has anyone heard from LEH?
