I watched with interest the information and support on this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/secondary/4177427-PART-3-SW-London-Girls-Indies-11-Results-Decisions-Panic-Over and wanted to start the same thread for South West London parents with daughters who will be applying for secondaries (independents and grammar) for places in year 7 in Sept 2022.

Where are you applying, how are the virtual open days going..... and to tutor or not to tutor?

Opps. Just got the email from KGS and DD got through to interview. Does anyone know how many are interviewed and out of which how many would get an offer?

I just got a time for the SPGS interview through, which luckily doesn’t clash with anything.

How did your DDs find the Interview today at G&L?

LEH letters have been posted out today first class!

Hi all! Big congrats to all going through to kgs interview. My DD’s interview today at G&L is good and asked general questions and showed 5 pics. Her SPGS interview will be on Monday.

@sugar001 it seems our DDs are going through the same schools . Did she have to group the images in groups? Different kids seem to have got different questions. Mine said it was fine we will see

Hi, we are in Kingston and got the LEH letter today

well done to those through to interviews at LEH and KGS and commiserations to those who didnt ... we are still waiting to find out as the post hasn't arrived

It does seem to be moving to emails this year. I just had confirmation from WHS and SPGS that they would email offers (11th and 10th, respectively), backed up with letters. Which is reassuring, as we haven’t had any post for days.

thanks @sunshineclouds24 .. we didn't sit KGS but did sit LEH so have been waiting for post all day ...and nothing so far so Monday is ☹️

incidentally when are LEH interviews (if we do get through)

DD has been invited to an LEH interview on the 26th. She is pleased to have made it this far as it's the most academic school we have applied for.

I think our first choice is still Surbiton for the pastoral care and the commute.

This is what I scribbled down during the heads online talk last year but if I've got this wrong please other MNtters do correct me!

LEH takes 108 girls in year 7. 60-70 come from the junior school and the remainder is split about 60% from prep schools and 40% from state primaries.

DC through to KGS interview. Does anyone have a rough idea what our chances are once through to the general interview? I have a feeling the Head shared some numbers during the open event but I can't quite remember what the gist was.
