Help me chose a boarding school!

I'm relocating to the Uk this summer and have short listed three boarding schools for my daughter. Wellington Academy, Royal Alexander and Albert and Duke of York Military School. Any advise please?

It would depend on why you are choosing boarding. If you are going to be away a lot and are looking for a consistent “home” life for your daughter then I would go for Duke of York as it is entirely weekly / full boarders. Followed by RAA and then Wellington Academy.

Sorry I don’t know anything more about any of the schools listed - I only had a quick look at numbers of children boarding at each when looking myself a few years ago.

Have you actually applied to any of them and been offered a place? What do you hope to find at such a school? Will you live close enough for her to go home regularly. RAAS has few full boarders, most are weekly or flexi, for example

Yes she's been offered a place at all of them and she'll be a full boarder as I anticipate quite a bit of travel until I'm fully settled in the UK. DOYRM looks like it's the most appealing at the moment and yes I do like the fact that it has a larger number of boarders. Anyone have their kids at Royal Alexander? How is their pastoral care?

RAAS had a really negative ofsted re. Boarding a few years ago. You might like to look at what has changed.
