Year 7 maths targets - are any of the lovely helpful teachers around?

If you saw that a year 7 child who was currently working at level 5C had been given a target of 6A by the end of year 7, would you assume it was a misprint for 6C?

5C to 6A is 5 sub-levels!
Are you sure that's not a target for SATs at the end of yr9?
Usually reckon on two sub-levels per year now. Did he get 5 for KS2 SATs?

That's why I think it must be a typo - all her other targets are 2 or 3 sublevels!
She missed a 5 in year 6 by a couple of marks - but maths has never been her strong suit, so it's nit as if she's a maths genuis.

Well she got 4A in yr6 then, so 6A by end of yr9 would be 'standard'.

They are probably automatically generated grades, and someone's put the wrong info in the computer, and no-one's checked the rubbish it's churned out.

All the other targets look quite personalized and seem to match her ability. Should I drop the teacher a note or just leave it.
