Any parents or locals with information/opinions on Woodford County High girls grammar school? My daughter is 9 and we are considering putting her forward for the 11 plus but not many of her contemporaries are considering (we are in South Woodford). We wouldn’t consider the further out grammars in Essex due to the travel time so she’ll only take the 11+ if this is a good option for us.

Evening, I'm local and went there many, many years ago. They have one open day a day (so it's rammed) - I'd recommend keeping an eye on the Redbridge website for the date if they're having one this year. It's usually June I think and will give you a good feel for the school. It's hard to get into, so you'll need to start preparing your daughter soon. I loved it there (but left over 25 years ago so not really helpful 😬).
