Emmbrook vs Waingels

hi all, we have just moved into Reading and my yr 9 girl has been offered a place in both Emmbrook and Waingels. Both schools seems to have similar academic results and reviews. May I ask for any comments from the parents whose child is studying in these schools? Any specific areas I need to pay attention when choosing from these 2 schools? Appreciate your help…..

They aren't very close geographically so is one materially closer to where you're living?

Waingels is between Woodley and Reading, Emmbrook is in wokingham.

To drive from one to the other could take an hour in the mornings with local traffic, so plump for the nearest/easiest to reach.

I know a few teachers at Waingels and would certainly consider it if I lived nearer.

Both are considered pretty good schools as both come under Wokingham.
If you're in Reading, then Waingels would probably be easier as it's on the orange 13/14 bus route from the town centre. Emmbrook is further away and from Reading would involve a bus or train. Do bear into account the extra time this commute would take.
