St Mary’s School, Ascot - advice please

Can anyone please advise me as to how academically selective St Mary’s actually is? I know they do very well in the league tables, yet pride themselves on raising their academic standards from the bottom up. However, I want to realistic about whether or not I should apply for my daughter. My daughter is bright but not particularly studious (she’s 9 after all!) She is definitely not a candidate for a ‘super selective’ school. We are Catholic and she has made her First Holy Communion, which may count in her favour, and is very sporty, is brilliant at ballet and gymnastics and loves art and drama.
If anyone has been through the process and has a daughter there, then I would love to hear from you!
Many thanks x

My daughter is not there, but lots of her friends from prep school are there in y9. Some are bright, others more average. A real mix, to be honest.

They took a while to settle in, but seem happy enough now.
