Schools in Worthing

Does anyone have any recent experience of the state secondary schools in Worthing? I know Davison is good but I have a boy and a girl so more interested in mixed schools.
Does anyone have children at Worthing High School or Bohunt and have any feedback on either?

I have lived in Worthing for just under 20 years with a 15 year old daughter.

I’m not sure how much help I can be because she goes to Davison and absolutely loves it. It has been a wonderful school for her, and many of my friends with a boy and a girl have chosen to send their daughters there.

Bohunt USED to have a bit of a rep when it first opened a few years ago but is improving and I have friends whose kids are settled there. We liked Worthing High when we visited too although, one friend who had a child at both Davison and WH says that Davison has higher expectations of their students.

To sum up I would say that there are no’bad’ high schools in Worthing. Davison has a well deserved reputation for being the best for girls, but visit the others that may be a better fit depending on your children’s’ interests.

As a town to live in, the centre is slightly tatty in places but it has a fantastic beach (we paddle board for example in the summer), there are great restaurants and 2 independent cinema and we are right on the foot of the downs. My daughter now tends to hop on the train to Brighton for shopping and increasingly gigs. It has been great for us. Good luck!
