Montrose Secondary schools

Hiya,

We’re thinking of moving to Montrose from West London. We have a son (aged 12). Wondered if anyone could comment on the area, local schools etc.

That’s quite a change! I don’t know the area very well but in terms of school if you are actually based in Montrose and not elsewhere in Angus then your son would go to Montrose Academy.

Your son would probably go into S2 in the next academic year but the cut-off dates for starting school are different in Scotland than England so that might change depending on when his birthday falls.
