Has anyone got an opinion on which school is better...I know Archer are higher in the leagues tables but I guess GCSE pass rates are not the only thing you should look for?

My sister is a looking for a school thats a bit diverse and welcoming. I have heard that Archer is probably the best non selective school in Barnet? I have also heard good things about The Compton school in North Finchley.

Hello, just to make your sister aware (in case she is not already) that Archer admissions policy is slightly different, in that they make offers from their priority catchment area – which is the postcode areas N2, N3 and NW1. I know this year the catchment for N2 was tiny.

Thanks for the reply. My sister is aware about it and that they only take those living in East Finchley and basically on the door step. She wants to move to Finchley but is looking where to move to. How good is Archer? Do you know much about it? Obviously the exam results are great and it got an outstanding ofsted report, but it’s good to read first hand accounts from people who actually know people who go there etc...

We are still deciding...

Is there any difference between these schools?
