Dd is due to start secondary in September. We have been using IXL to support her school learning and to help us her her during lockdown. Are there any alternatives aimed at secondary school children?

I am a translator for the Khan Academy and even if it is more for America kids, it’s maths is outstanding and 100% free. It also uses algorithms that will adapt to your child, so no time lost something she always already know and consolidating what she needs

You may find the school use one, so you may want to check: hegetty (sp?) or mathswatch are common.
We use tassomai for science for DS, history hit for history documentaries and will likely use Massolit for A’Level support.

Oak National Academy is good and may give her a headstart on some of the subjects/topics she'd be learning. My DS used it end of Year 6 and it did definitely help.

My DC use Hegarty and Dr Frost for maths plus Seneca for various bits and pieces.

DS uses Hegarty and Dr Frost for maths. Memrise for French. Pearson ActiveLearn for French too.

We use edclass.com for maths and english. Great platform to use for my son who suffers with mental health issues as the platform is fully safeguarded and has one-to-one learning

Seneca
