Boys or mixed independents with decent sixth form intake

My son is in Y10 and thinking of a new school for sixth form. He’s very able academically, enjoys football but isn’t a superstar at it.

Can anyone suggest places with a decent sized intake of boys at sixth form. Either boarding anywhere or a day school accessible from north London.

Finborough in Stowmarket is very nice and has a decent 6th form intake.

It depends if you want an international intake or not. There are very few boarding schools that have a big intake of boys in 6th form (different for girls). However schools like Bromsgrove have a big international contingent who join for 6th form. They play football at Bromsgrove too which many boarding schools don’t.
