Hi,
Can you recommend the best sites to find practice papers, either to download and print or buy? There are so many websites and I just don't know where to start. In addition can you find practise aptitiude tests?
Thanks in advanced.

There are several different types of assessment test (CEM, GL Assessment, etc), so the best thing to do is find out which type is used by the school or assessment centre that your DC will be taking the test at, and then practice those.

There is lots of info at the elevenplus forum
mocks.elevenplusexams.co.uk/home/

The forums have posts from parents about specific schools and tests, which can be really useful, so you can search up the one you're interested in.

Is it okay to ring the school directly or is that not really done?

I think they have the GL assessments, and can we buy or download those?

The elevenplusexams website informs you of what you need to know for each area, ie Kent, Surrey etc

This site has over 3,000 totally free practice papers and hundreds of free answer keys. We used it when we were moving to London and they have really expanded the site since then:

metalrockseducation.co.uk/elevenplus-thirteenplus-past-exam-specimen-papers/

We've started buying a few answer keys as we prepare for senior school. Some of the math on the 13+ exams is way beyond me (I also don't speak French)!!

Most schools have an Admissions Officer and you can email them, or call I suppose. But they might be a bit busy at the moment, dealing with the 2021 admissions, the waiting list etc, since allocations were only given out on March 1st.

You can get some free tests here
www.gl-assessment.co.uk/free-familiarisation

If the school you are applying to has ISEB testing then Atom Learning is great. Online adaptive testing.

Really depends where you are but CGP books are a good bet. Check on elevenplusexams website to get an idea of what needed in your area.

Good advise. Thank you.

I also recommend mixing in some papers from independent schools, there are sample test papers available for free on many of the Independent school's website. Manchester Grammar school and St Paul's Girls sample papers spring to mind, my DD found them helpful and they stretched her knowledge.
