Hi

Not sure if there has been a thread on this study, i’ve cut and pasted the conclusion below

Conclusion
In the current study, we find that Ofsted-rated schoolquality is a weak predictor of secondary school out-comes at age 16, including educational achievement,well-being and school engagement, once schools’ stu-dent selection criteria have been taken into account. These findings call into question the usefulness ofOfsted ratings as a guide for parents who are looking tomakeaninformedchoice for their children’s secondaryschool. Furthermore, our study contests the notionthat Ofsted inspections, which are perceived asexhausting, stressful and demoralising by teachersand other school staff (Hopkins et al., 2016; de Wolf &Janssens, 2007), capture differences in school qualitythat matter for students’ individual outcomes.
