Hi,

I am confused between spgs and hbs . My daughter is in waiting in hbs , will get in . We have accepted spgs. But clearly still confused between two.
Experienced mums from any of two schools, pls pour in your experience.

Thanks

Ok, what is your confusion stemming from? You must have liked something about the schools when applying, what is important to you and your daughter?

HBS. It's free Smile

Hi Confusion is in the facilities provided. Hbs if of course free . Spgs has a hefty fees , but I am confused thinking that spgs facilities will be way better than hbs.

Is there much of a difference in journey time?

dithersome · 13/03/2021 08:24

They are a long way away from each other so presumably one of both will involve a lot of travel each day.

KaptainKaveman · 13/03/2021 08:26

Of course the facilities will be better. That's the main difference between private schools and state schools. Why do you keep saying you are 'confused' ? It's not confusing. One is a private school, one is a state school.

Have you visited the schools? looked into them? researched? The only way you could be 'confused' is by not bothering to find out anything about these schools.

I would hope the facilities at SPGS are better otherwise what are you paying for?

Elderado · 13/03/2021 09:57

The difference between the two? £150,000 over the next 7 years is the difference!

Only you can make that decision.
Personally, I’d go for SPSG.

There’s a recent SPGS thread you might find helpful:

I don’t think I’ve seen a recent HBS one, but it would be worth using advanced search, if you haven’t already.
