Year 11 finish date ?

Have any of you been told when your year 11 child will be leaving school ?

28 may.

Possibly 28/5 also.

DC has 2 sets of exams, one in April and the other in the week ending 28/5

We haven't yet, and I have had 18th June in my head, but of course I've just realised that if the final date for submissions from school, is 18/6, the staff are going to need a couple of weeks to fiddle around with their data, which means all the assessments will have to be done by May half term.
Boy, it's going to be a long summer for them, with not much on
DD, who took her GCSEs in 2018, fixed up seven separate trips away for her GCSE summer: NCS, local camping trip, Reading Festival, holiday with friends etc, plus our own summer family holiday - the class of 2021 will be lucky to get even one of those!

After May half term there will be optional activities. I think my daughter will be opting out...

If it’s optional mine will opt out too now. She’s got too used to being at home and doesn’t miss friends. I do fear for how many of these kids will not fit back into education come September.

The government have not said when the last day will be for year 11. It is normally May half term.

It's normally May half term but that's due to exam revision. They are not off-rolled until something like the second Tuesday in July (can't remember exactly) so should still be provided for until then.

It is not up to the government to decide it will be up to the individual schools, as it is every year.

I think it's the last Friday in June of the academic year in which they turn 16 that they're officially off roll.
We don't give ours study leave.

Last teaching day 14 may exams the following week, all done by 21/5 for my y11 in Sheffield

My students finish on 28 May

25th June in our academy trust, but hoping this will be moved forward.
