WH high school

I agree with some of the mothers post comments regarding WH school they would go for loud / talkative girls. Sadly in the group session interview teachers had zero participation, therefore quite one completely left out at the background and didn’t seems to value their academic capabilities as well as personalities. Unlike school like Ibstock school where all the children’s were involved in the group interview. Anyway I have chosen PH school. I felt this is the right school for her . She is quite academically bright and achieved high scope.

I have no idea what or where WH school or PH school are (and if "H" is "High", suspect there many schools that have those acronyms). But I'm glad you're happy with the school you have chosen.

WH = Wimbledon High
PH = Putney High

It’s south eat London independent schools. There are a log of threads about these schools on this board.

Both excellent schools and posters are lucky if they can afford to send their clever dd there. V competitive to get places

We have a (clearly different) WH school local to me, which is why I opened the thread.

Posters assuming that everyone should realise they are talking about competitive London schools without any indication in the title (or even post) is a particular bugbear of mine.

Don't you mean South West London?

Yes I agree. How many people would respond if I put out a post referring to "West Park* - what's it like?" or even "WP - shall I accept the offer?" in the title. No one would know what I was talking about! I imagine there are many schools called West Park or with the initials WP.
  • Actually a school in my area, tho not one my DC have gone to. It's good tho, in case you are holding an offer.

Agreed - as I live in the area I knew the acronyms but always amazes me how active the south London and independent schools threads are - lucky us to not be suffering in these trying times

Midlifephoenix · 06/03/2021 06:51

We went to open days at both those schools last year and far preferred PHS. Good choice.
Agree with the acronyms- I had to Google a few when I first started reading this forum.
