My daughter is on waiting list of Putney high school .and got an offer from the harrodian school (last date of accepting offer is tomorrow )what should i do .

It totally depends on what your daughter wants to do. Is the school which is offered a place for your dd her second choice of school? I can understand secondary school choises are tricky with the closing date being tomorrow.

You can pay the deposit for Harrodian, keep her on the WL for Putney and take the financial hit if you get offered a Putney place and decide to reject Harrodian. Otherwise, accept Harrodian and take yourself off Putney WL.

Agree with PP. How is it you're confused??

If you don't accept Harrodian your DD may have nowhere in September if it's a choice between these two only.

If a waitlist place comes up at PH then you do, unfortunately, lose your harrodian deposit - but that's the chance you take for peace of mind.

Could you phone PHS if that's the one you really want and see if they can tell you anything about the waiting list. Unless they've closed it they may be willing to say whether your daughter is in a possible zone for an offer or whether they'd need to go further down the list before they could offer her a place. Still a risk but may give you more of a steer.

I have a dc at the school. Now at primary, but will stay in secondary. It is a very good school, we are happy with it.

she got an offer from putney high school so we accepted it .

Did you accept Harrodian prior to the PHS offer?
