I grew up in North London and at the time had a pretty good sense of the stereotypical boy from each of the above schools (and others). But things change, what would you say are today's equivalents?

For info back then they were:

UCS - creative, fun, bit druggy, good looking
Habs - Arrogant but brainy
CLS - Studious, more diverse than the North London schools
Westminster- very bright and unconventional (less conservative than St Paul's)
Highgate - Totally different school from today. Boys were typically more middle of the road.

I grew up in north London and never even met anyone from these schools. Presumably they are as mixed in type as any normal school. Why pigeon hole people?

Totally agree on this. The City boys were always lovely, smart, down to earth and not arrogant. Habs hasn't changed much and the UCS boys tend to be very very wealthy, well the ones we know are.

What an offensive post, OP.

If you are truly interested in ascertaining reliable, accurate information about these schools the last thing you'd do is to post lazy ignorant comments like those above.
