Hello,
Does anyone know how the allocations are notified by the council? Do we need to look at the admissions website or will we need to refresh our emails? I hate the waiting game! Also any idea what time these results are known? Thank you

Timing depends where you are - Kent will email after 4pm, for example, and you can log into the admissions website after 5pm. London the website is normally about 5pm and emails will come out during the evening. Your local LA website may say.

Can vary - I remember coming back from a trip with my Year 6 at about 5pm and half the parents waiting had heard and half hadn't yet. And the ones who'd filled in a pen and paper form at the town hall had to wait for the post the next day!

Log on to website after 5pm (well 5pm for London but depends on where you live), that's how i remember it with primary allocations. Apparently the site has crashed some years causing a small delay, you should also receive an email notification

DS1’s current (independent) school are putting pressure on us to accept his place in the senior school by 4pm on Monday. From what I have read, our local authority usually confirms places much earlier in the day. However, the 4pm deadline is making me want to tell them to get lost, particularly when I know that many other local authorities don’t confirm their school places until after 4pm.
