Bromley High School

Hi All,

Does anyone have experience of Bromley High Senior School? My daughter has got offers from Bromley High, Croydon High and Sutton High. We need to decide very soon about the school. So far we are leaning towards Bromley High but it would be good to know if anyone has DD there who can share their experience in terms of pastoral care, staff and teachers, class size and music facilities.

As they are all GDST schools they will have a similar ethos so not much difference, which is the easiest to get to? DD was at the junior school of BH and still has friends at the senior school who are happy there, they are all moving on for sixth form for a variety of reasons though.

Thanks PettsWoodParadise. Croydon High is closer to us but we are ok to move eventually so that distance is not an issue.

I have a DD in the senior school there. She joined in yr 7 so didn't come up from the junior school. She is very happy. Staff are supportive and the pastoral care is good.

Personally though, I'd choose the school that is easiest to travel to and near where you live. That helps with friendships etc.

Thanks HavfrueDenizKisi. It is very helpful to know your experience at Bromley high. We are anyways planning to move to Bromley if we decide Bromley High. What’s normally the class size at school?

Each form is around the 20ish mark with some variations. There are usually 4 forms per year group.

Daughter in senior school at BHS - absolutely loves it. We have been extremely happy - great teaching, pastoral care, good clubs and extras etc. Experience so far is that the school is very friendly and supportive. DD has really lovely friends and all feels very inclusive. Go for it!

@QueenCrystalAnd @HeliKjust came across this thread when searching for Bromley High reviews and was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing if your children are still happy there - if there or still there? We are considering and I am struggling to find first hand experience reviews and am mindful that the head mistress changed in the past years. I’d be grateful- even if just a thumbs up or down
