DD has anxiety issues and likely ADHD. Looking to move schools in Sept for Y10. Bright child but without the right executive function support, I could see DD significantly underperforming at GCSE and her mental health deteriorating. DD is talented in a non-school sport (so has something PR-wise to bring to a school). DD has struggled with friendships at current school (which may also have a bit of a problem as several girls left at Xmas, at least two confirmed due to bullying.) As DD is slightly quirky/neurodiverse, she has not fit in particularly well.

So basically we need a school that can support lousy executive functions, anxiety, ADHD...yet needs to be at a good pace to keep her attention (and she is really bright).

Any thoughts on whether the above schools cut the mustard? Any others that you can think of? We are open-minded. The right fit is key. Funny how your perspective changes from the Y7 ruckus!!

Hi @StopAtTheRedLight, I came across your post and thought your DD sounds very very similar to mine. I wondered how you got on with your school hunt and if you found somewhere that would suit? I feel like DD might sink or implode in the pressurised selective schools, but equally might get bored/coast and not “find her tribe” in a less academic school. Any steer on these schools or others very welcome!
