Education Consultants

Has anyone ever used these? Do people still do? I have been made redundant and thinking of setting up a consultancy myself. I have lots of experience behind me and have worked in admissions and SEN. When I Google them, there seems to not be that many but the ones that exist seem to employ 4+ people. I completely understand it's hard to break into these things but just wanted to get my head around the likelihood of people actually using the services of a consultant.
If you did use one, what did you like/not like about it?
Thanks

Never used one, what do they actually do? Are these for independent or state schools. I can see in London where there are lots of schools it maybe more useful or for international students.

Yeap mostly used by expats. Basically you tell them your situation and they give you a list of possible schools, helps you apply, arranges tutors, assessments, whatever you need along the way. The basic service is just explaining the actual process and different types of education in the UK.
