St Catherine’s or Caterham

Can anyone share their opinions on these schools?

Seems both are similar in terms of academic. What about all-roundedness & pastoral care?
And are schools handling bullying effectively?

Appreciate any thoughts or insights. Thank you very much.

Where is nearer ?

location-wise, it's similar. We are kind of like in between.

& DD has no particular preference re co-ed or girls' schools.

Much cocurricular at Caterham is after school, usually finishing for late bus with sport at weekends. If you live some distance it could be a long day. Day pupils cover Epsom, Reigate, East Grinstead, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Croydon and all areas in between.

Thanks for the info. We are quite impressed by the range of co-curricular activities there, but not sure if day students can benefit the same way as boarders do. And heard that the ratio of international students seem higher than other schools in the area ~ wonder if anyone knows?

As for St. Catherine's, we do like it, but are a bit worried over the polarized opinions we read on mumsnet, esp on the topic of bullying & the way they are handled at school. Would love to hear some sharing, or how things are recently. Thank you.

Most activities are equally available to day and boarders. Very active parents' association. Boarding is around 20-25% population of senior school but relatively fewer in younger years (ie only 4 girls in dd's cohort at 11) increasing at 13 and more so in sixth form.
