Trinity/Whitgift waiting lists (y7)

Hi, I wonder if anyone had any experience or knowledge about waiting lists for these schools? We are on a waiting list at trinity at the moment, and we are waiting anxiously to find out if we stand a chance of getting in! I did ring the office who said there isn’t any way of knowing where you are on the list as they don’t have an official order so to speak , so just to carry on waiting. Just hoping someone who has been through the experience who might know more might be on here! I’m sure there will be movement after the 1st of March but it’s so hard to know if it’s worth hanging on if he could potentially be the bottom of the list, even if there is officially no order to the list 🤔🙁.

Hi does anyone please know the process for 2022 entry waiting list for whitgift? Was does short wait list mean and can anyone advise the best way to go about this situation? It’s our first choice and we would be gutted to lose it at this stage

My understanding is schools have not over offered as much this year so there will be more movement on the waiting list. Goodluck everyone

@Croydonmum3 we were on the waitlist for Trinity last year and we were successful in getting a place. I let them know that it was our first choice and checked in with them a few times. On the deadline for acceptance day we were called about midday and offered the place. Admissions were amazing in the whole process. Keep positive, there will be lots of movement as boys will have sat numerous schools

That’s really promising if they haven’t over offered, but it’s very difficult to tell what’s going on behind the scene!

Thank you, great your son got a place at Trinity from WL -that’s fantastic news! Thanks for the advice. I think the acceptance date will be when most movement happens so we have to just hang on and touch base with the school. I think it’s just unclear how many on the waitlist and where we are on that list.. can only hope for the best!
