Kew House School vs. Fulham School?

I know there were threads in the past, but have there been any updates? Looking for a stronger academic option. Neither school is St Paul’s, but still - is there a difference? Thanks!

Kew House for sure. It is really well regarded, picked by many DC who also get into more traditional schools as it is just offering something different but grounded and innovative.

Never hear good things about Fulham School sadly.

Thank you, @DinoDisco! To be fair, I’ve heard good things about Fulham Prep, but very little about Fulham Senior.

My friend has a son in Fulham Prep and they seem quite happy, lots of kind children and nice local families. She told me Fulham Senior (year 9 onwards) is going to be in a new building in Parsons Green which has no outside space. They will have an IB curriculum.

I have two DCs at Fulham Prep and know a number of families at Kew House. We are actively considering both Fulham Senior and Kew House for 11+. We are very, very happy with Fulham Prep - but the senior school is still new. Fulham Senior has a newly refurbished separate senior school site on Chesilton Road SW6 that has (finally) opened.

They are very similar. Both FSS and KH have relatively new headmasters. Both are in built up areas (FSS more residential) with limited outdoor space. Both have very strong pastoral focus on the "whole child." Both have a very parent-friendly, open door approach. Both have a sixth form.

Some differences: FSS will have a smaller number of total students than KH. FSS will focus on IB curriculum. KH has more of a track record and is part of the independent Gardener group. FSS is part of the Inspired group with a link to many international schools. KH has a slightly larger footprint and is more established, becoming more popular in W London. FSS is very new.

@zebra15 thank you! We decided on KH - let’s see what happens.
