Has anyone got any views on the Hall school Wimbledon for y7 entry in 2021? I have heard about the issues they had sometime ago and the changes brought by the new head recently. Is this a good well rounded school? Good academic results and happy atmosphere? How does this school compare to Thames Christian? Which one is considered better to challenge kids on their potential? Initial impression at the Hall is that they do not push kids much on the academic front but kids seem happy with outdoors and sports activities. Initial impression at Thames Christian is that the location is really bad/awful and no much sport activities but education is really good specially for kids with sen. Any views at all would be super welcome. Looking for y7 entry in 2022. Thank you!

Hi Bgtyseld
I know that Thames Christian School are moving in 2021 to a brand new building!!! its huge (being build just up from Clapham Junction Station - have a look on their instagram, there are pics on there) so your child would be the second intake into the new school - they also just sent out a newsletter saying they are taking on a new Head of Sport to expand that department - also focusing on external competitions and matches. re. education, I've only heard good things. I can't comment on the Hall though as I'm only local to this area. Hope that helps. x

I have a friend with a son at hall. It’s very small - tiny year groups, but seems nurturing.

Hi, we have a child at Thames and we are v impressed with the new building. The facilities for science, art, DT, Music and even sport are great. The new head of sport is organising loads of fixtures and ambition is high. The school seems to get excellent results without stressing the kids, it seems a very kind place. We had a choice of 5 schools and our child chose Thames as they were so nice in the interview! Would definitely recommend.
