Cambridge Independent Schools Sep 2021 Entry

Hi all,
Is anyone else here waiting for year 7 results for Cambridge independent schools for Sep 2021 entry?
Most of the discussions on this forum are from schools in London or around London so looks likes parents at other places are bit relaxed this year!

@yourfriend I’m not at that stage but interested where you applied. I’m keen on the look of the Perse but don’t know enough about it yet and grateful for any thoughts

@HazelnutCookies Cambridge has many good secondary schools and Perse is on top as far as academic results are concerned. There is no single school which can be best for every child. If you search on mumsnet you will see lots of discussions around Perse, Stephen Perse, Leys etc. I would suggest to attend school open days of these schools which will give you some insights. We have decided to go with Stephen Perse.

Hi all, we are looking to apply for Year 9 of Stephen Perse Foundation for my DD. She is fine in academic and loves drama very much.

Any parents could give me your valuable comments on the school? Anything about the academic, teacher quality, staff, pastoral care, music, drama, sport, extra-curriculum, student attitudes that would be appreciated.

What are the good secondary state schools in Cambridgeshire? I know Perse is great but quite expensive.
Looking for a state school with good A level results in science/ math subjects.
Is Bottisham village school is good enough if you are planing for your children to get in to university in science and or math?

@Kulma , Cambridge has a 6th form college called Hills Road that is 1 of the top performing 6th forms In the UK. Check the admissions criteria to Hills rd 6th form from the secondary school/ your home address.
