Channing waiting list

My Daughter has been put on the waiting list at Channing she is bright but has some difficulites to overcome. We didn't expect her to do well in the test it was really a punt just in case. Do you think the waiting list is genuine or for some girls just a kinder refusal?

It is a genuine waiting list i understand, no exploding offers and I know several people who will be turning down the offers in the coming days.
