Woldingham v. Croydon High

DD has had offers from both of these schools, and we're trying to make a fair comparison given that we were not able to visit Woldingham at all for open days last term or during the assessment process, but Croydon High did their assessments on-site. We like both schools, but have had a lot more information from Croydon High post-offer with online sessions for prospective parents and students. We visited Woldingham School a couple of years ago and really liked the old Head, but don't know if the new Head is making changes. Any insight from parents with DDs at those schools or facing a similar decision at the moment would be welcome!

I have a DD in Year 12 who is very happy at the school. No obvious changes since the new Head took over, but he barely had any chance to get his feet under the table and they were back in lockdown. The online provision has been great, as has their focus on student well being. The physical site is so much nicer than Croydon High, not that that matters at the moment!

@Fenou1 - What did u finally decide? Our DD goes to CHS Juniors but we have not heard good reviews about Senior school from existing parents.

@CuriousMum1212 We chose Croydon High. Definitely the right choice for our daughter and we are pleased with the school. I haven't heard any specific complaints from other parents I'm aware of.

Thanks a lot Fenou for the response. Any particular drawbacks of Woldingham?
If you made any pros n cons list of both schools, would be great if you can share. We will be applying in September.

Academically the outcomes are very similar. The pros and cons are very personal to your circumstances, preferences and priorities, so I wouldn't want to bias your decision. I would say they are equally good schools but different in ethos and setting.
