Can anyone recommend any resources that will help ds improve and practise?

The school might have a subscription to a maths website like mymaths, mathswatch or hegartymaths, you could ask?

Mathletics gets recommended on here a lot if you're willing to pay.

corbettmaths.com/ has lots of free videos and worksheets. The 5-a-day would be good regular practice, have a look for the right level for your DS.
