Does anyone know when the offers come out? And do the no’s come out at the same time as the yes’s? 😬

The website suggests that results will be posted on 11 Feb and that some boys might be called in for a second interview in Jan/early Feb.

Kbe123 · 30/01/2021 16:41

Guessing we have to assume ‘yes and no’ offers will all be posted on the 11th. Assuming scholarship interviews in previous years would not have been as late as this year so we cant rely on same timetable as historic years, ie ‘no’ letters landing today

Hopeful201 · 30/01/2021 18:48

The no's normally come out by the end of January. It normally means if you haven't heard anything you are in. Call backs get the letter fairly quickly, then you have to wait until the Yes/No in Feb-which is hard to wait for!I have no idea what they are doing this year though. Good luck!

Growupsofast · 31/01/2021 14:12

I’m not sure if they will do something different this year - I think everyone had an interview after they had looked at the exam results this year. I think in a normal year interview and examination are on the same day with additional interviews later in Jan for a smaller set of boys based on exam performance? I’m not sure having not been through it in a normal year.

Lonestar123 · 31/01/2021 22:01

The uncertainty and waiting is driving me a little crazy. Roll on the 12th for some clarification!

Locallady21 · 01/02/2021 07:36

I assume if it was like a normal year people would have had no’s already but I’ve not heard of anyone that has, has anyone else? If not then think we have to assume yes’s and no’s all go out in Feb and just cope with the waiting 😫

Where else have people applied? No news here so assuming all letters coming on the 12th x

FlyingPandas · 05/02/2021 20:03

Not heard anything yet @Lonestar123 - but anticipating a letter on the 12th (assuming the post gets through!)

We have applied to RGS and Hampton. No back up indies. If DS doesn't get offered either, we will go down the state route. We are lucky to have a good state option locally so it's not the end of the world if neither indie offers a place. In fact even if the indies offer a place we may still end up going down the state route, it's all still very much up for debate in the Panda household!

Good luck to everyone, it feels like a long wait doesn't it.

Lonestar123 · 05/02/2021 20:17

Two fab options @FlyingPandas. Good luck! We’ve applied for two also. RGS and Halliford. Loved both schools but very different. Enough of the waiting now 😂

KAKSAI · 12/02/2021 09:55

Any news yet of the results!!

Rebecca31 · 12/02/2021 10:00

Hi there. We're still waiting, our post arrives around lunchtime. Do we still think that nos could come through today as well as the yeses? I'm nervous as hell!

Rebecca31 · 12/02/2021 14:01

Has anyone heard yet? DS has been put on a waiting list.....

Lonestar123 · 12/02/2021 14:18

We got offers from RGS and St George’s today. Very relieved the process is finally done!

Rebecca31 · 12/02/2021 14:32

Great congratulations!

Lonestar123 · 12/02/2021 14:41

Thanks @Rebecca31, fingers crossed for the waiting list. Pretty sure there will be lots of movement this year x

Rebecca31 · 12/02/2021 14:52

@Lonestar123 thank you x

Lonestar123 · 25/02/2021 23:38

Has anyone accepted an RGS place for this year? We said yes today...looking for comrades. @FlyingPandas I see you’ve chosen a different option x

Esher2021 · 25/02/2021 23:39

We have, very excited

Lonestar123 · 25/02/2021 23:56

@Esher2021 great news! Very exciting x

FlyingPandas · 26/02/2021 09:07

Morning everyone! Yes we have said no to RGS in favour of Hampton. The usual main reason - it’s closer to where we live, with a more straightforward journey - but also it was DS’s favourite by a mile, which is probably the most important thing. So we released our RGS place this week and hope that will help someone on the waitlist.

Good luck to all the soon to be RGS boys - it’s a lovely school and I’m sure they’ll be really happy there! And good luck to the waitlist boys and will keep fingers crossed for you all.

Locallady21 · 27/02/2021 09:38

Yes we too will be accepting an RGS place, my DS is delighted as are we!
