Hello All can help out a rather anxious mummy? I was just wondering whether anybody's daughter has sat the 2nd stage group assessment at Wimbledon highly school this January 2021 and if have had there daughter invited back for a singular interview. I understand they have had three stages historically, but this may have been changed as a result of COVID-19. I'm feeling rather anxious and would appreciate your comments in view of this. Thanks in advance.

From their website it looks like it's online group sessions only and then offers

I have logged onto my account, but no mention of interviews. I have heard they invite a small number of girls back for interviews.

I haven’t heard anything about further interviews - perhaps this is for academic scholarship candidates?

I don’t think there’s ever been 3 stages? DD sat it a few years ago and even then it was VR/NVR and then a group interview. Only difference was there was no cut off after the First stage ( but it was still probably a cut off- we just did know it!).

Thanks for this! Gosh, this is such a stressful process. More so as they only have around 60 vacant places vs almost 650 applicants.
I guess i'll have to wait and see. If there isn't a 3rd stage I feel somewhat better - As I begun to think my DD was unsuccessful.

They will offer a lot more than 60 to fill those places though so the odds are not as bad. WHS also tend go to waitlist a fair bit as well. Have you applied anywhere else?

Yes, we have applied to JAGS and Emanuel.. But Wimbledon is our 1st Choice. I wonder how many girls get through to round 2...

DD1 was invited for a scholarship interview after stage 2 but it was made clear it was a scholarship interview and this was some years ago, and it was just a nice chat with the head.
