Hi all, im hoping to find out a bit more info about Shoreham Academy. I've not found much info on other threads and some info has not been all that promising. I see it was inspected in 2012 and was rated outstanding but what is the insider opinion please? Does it have a strong academic focus? Have others heard of issues with bullying. Thanks in advance for any insight.

I don't know a great deal about SA per se, but I work at another secondary school close enough to take mid year transfers (we get a lot generally) and we rarely have any from SA which I would think is a promising sign.

My nephews passed through SA. (Youngest left 2 years ago.) They thrived. Both got 9 good GCSEs, including a few 7-9s in strongest subjects. One has ASC and was well supported throughout. The other was much more average, got in a fight once in year 10 and both he and other kid had a days exclusion for it. It never happened again!

It's pretty oversubscribed so don't assume you'll get a space. But it has a strong reputation in the area
