Parkside Community College - pastoral care

I have two children at Parkside Community College and find for the most part the level of teaching and the dynamic teachers are great. It is the student body and pastoral care that has me concerned. I don't think the children are kind and I don't see the leadership as role models.

Am I being unreasonable? Is this where we are as a society? I would love to hear others thoughts on the pastoral side of Parkside Community College. I am willing to view all replies with an open mind.

In what way are you finding the leadership/ pastoral care and children lacking?
You sound like something has happened?
As school closed, is this online?
I don't know Parkside apart from that it is a school parents tend to want their children to go to...

As a start, however, I find with my secondary children, form tutors are the way to go first...

Which area? [In case there is more than one Parkside Community College!!].

Hi, thanks for the reply. Parkside Community College in Cambridge. It is indeed desirable for students to go to, and I can see why given the results.

I did speak to the form tutor first, but as a lot of this happens outside of class time and now online, they tend to wash their hands of any responsibility.

I was just interested to hear if others had reservations about the school or if their children had great experiences.

Hopefully, someone with children at the school will come along and be helpful soon.
You could try in the local part of Mumsnet as well in the Cambridge section.
It is hard when things are on line. [I took line of checking phones a lot. That was year 7 and things calmer now].
If out of class but in school or on way to and from school, the school should support I feel.
