Hello all, this thread continues from the previous "Upcoming Girl's Independent SW London Schools 11+ Exams" thread set up by @Oceane11Plus.

@Stircrazyschoolmum I feel the tension is starting to peak with WHS emails expected on 5th Feb!

Does anyone know when PHS are sending out their letters? I think all of our others are towards the end of next week.

Sad I know, haha, but I looked through some London girls' schools threads from previous years and it did strike me how random the results were! E.g. a child might get SPGS but not WHS; another Tiffin but not PHS; another PHS but not KGS; or an academic scholarship somewhere but only a waiting list offer at a less selective school, and so on and so on.

So I'm just going to try to hold my nerve over the next few days! Hopefully when the dust settles and everyone releases their spare offers and waiting list offers we will be able to see the bigger picture

Tension in our house is also going to peak on Friday as WHS is the top choice . As per their tradition , I think they will send out mails at 3:30 and then close for the day .PHS is coming on 11th and LEH will post letters around the same timeframe .
All of these schools have a ratio of almost 1:3 or more and difficult to guess on the outcome !

Will WHS send emails with the results? I was under the impression they would put letters in the post on Friday... so more postman stalking for Saturday!

@SpecialC - based on last year, we got a WHS letter on the Friday morning and a confirmation email in the afternoon. Good luck!

Thank you colapip so lovely of you to check in with us. I'm working hard to distract myself but really not sure what this year will throw out in terms of results.

Don’t want to get you all excited but WHS have historically often sent their letters a day earlier than they said they would.

Had a little heart attack today as we received a small letter in the post from WHS...turns out it was a card from the sports department to tell her they enjoyed meeting her the other week. It was a really nice gesture but sent a little too close to offer day! 😂😂😂

Sounds like a good sign to me Yossahughes. Really thoughtful. DD also appreciated the good luck postcard from PHS at the beginning of the process. These little things make an impression on a 10 year old.

This didn't sound quite right to me, as i thought the school revise numbers through the 2nd assessment process then re-evaluate to decide upon offers?

This is what one of WHS's emails imply - i.e. you either get a place or go onto the WL - they don't simply say no. Apparently they also tell you if which of 3 tiers you fall into on the waiting list. My guess would be that only the upper WL has a realistic prospect of eventually getting a place, but that is just a guess...

Crossing fingers for everyone who is waiting for a response from LEH!!! May the envelopes be large ones!

We got LEH offer as well. I was expecting it next week!

@SpecialC - that's interesting (and promising!) re WHS - their website does suggest that too but I wasn't sure if it would still apply this year. Which email are you referring to? I don't remember seeing one that made reference to the wait list x

Yea but surely putting everyone on the waiting list is just a polite way of doing the same as saying ‘no’?

@EnnaBella. This is what’s said on the WHS website...

“We hope to place all candidates who are invited back to our Creative Assessment but do not subsequently receive an offer onto our waiting list.

This waiting list is split into thirds to give you an indication of where your daughter is placed. Unfortunately, we cannot indicate exact positions on the waiting list or how many offers we will be able to make to the girls on our waiting list because this number varies every year. A girl’s place on our waiting list will be valid until a year after the assessment date. After this, candidates will be asked to attend another assessment in order to be considered for any future vacancies.“

It supports what @SpecialC has seen but like @LittleBlackBear says, it’s an unusual year.

Well done to those receiving LEH offers! Do you think the GHS deadline has pushed them to release early?
