Are boarding schools open in lockdown for boarders? Just curious and can't find an answer on google!!

No, ours shut the same time as other schools. All boarders apart from about half a dozen overseas ones who can't get flights have gone home.

One school only for overseas boarders who'd already arrived. The other is taking children of 2 keyworkers and some vulnerable children.

No neither of ours are. I do wonder what they would have done if they were already back at school when lockdown started - dispersing hundreds of children all over the country might have been a bit problematic.

Told Monday might they need picking up asap. Some parents already returned to abroad, and in quarantine. So have t arrange for it all from quarantine, for children to be escorted there to join them.

My brothers both work in boarding schools. One had planned to close till Monday so my brother is waiting to see what they say. The other school is open and has around 70 boarders who are from overseas and stuck here or vulnerable students/keyworkers.
