Looking to relocate dc from another school to here, aware may need to be in a waiting list.
Aware dc would be xfering from a school settled in at but it is dire, I am aware of goings on Imin the academy of dc current school and it is up shit creek with poor management, was placed in special measures about 2 year ago, appointed head after the short term 'superhead' has never held heads post before, big problem with gangs in certain groups which they are failing to control, there has been no online / remote teaching and what has Bern sent out as printable work is shit. The base line for expectations seems so low, how can they encourage pupils to aspire with appalling behaviour and poor teaching? Dc is well looked after at home but it seems like it is us constantly monitoring him that pushes him, not school, iykwin?
A few people we know have said Ossett is academically focused. How has anyone found it? Ofsted reports look good, what about behaviour etc?
We can't go and look round, so would be making the application to xfer blindly. Is it a good idea?
