Hi there
We are a British family living abroad and moving back next year. DD fully educated abroad and would be entering Y9 (8th grade at Marymount) when we move next year. She is quite academic, enjoys sports, especially skiing and swimming, but no experience with ‘British’ sports. She also needs/enjoys creative outlets such as art, drama, design etc. Can anyone comment on the following:
- How academic is the school. Will it challenge her to do her best or can bright kids get by ‘coasting’?
- I understand some girls are on external swim teams since school has no pool. How does this work in practice and how doable is it?
- Does the school offer an annual trip?
- Is there enough to keep the girls amused outside if academics
- How are friendship dynamics between boarders/day pupils and what does the school do to facilitate socializing among them? Could she have her boarder friends over for a sleepover for example.
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to reply... :)
