Please help me with VR question (letter sequence)

It was in a GL practice paper my daughter was doing today and I can’t work out the second letter

KM KL ML NM OO PR

I think the first letter is Q.
You start with the first K, skip the next pair, then M (+2), skip next pair, then O (+2), skip the next pair, then Q (+2).

The options given are: QU, RU, RV, QV, QW

What is it that I cannot see???

I would say QV
The rule for the second letter is -1, 0, +1, +2, + 3, + 4

This type of question is based on two sequences, not necessarily connected

First of each pair = sequence 1
Second of each pair = sequence 2

Sequence 1 = Every other letter

K to M = +2
M to O = +2
O + 2 = Q

Sequence 2

M to L = minus 1
L to L = 0
L to M = + 1
M to 0 = + 2
0 to R = + 3
R plus 4 = V.
