She should read the Ofsted reports to get a clear picture of the school and its history. It was called Kingsmead school before a change in 2011. It is a comprehensive school in a grammar school area, though a number of students come in to the area from outside to attend the grammars and a number of students actively choose the comprehensive schools for reasons of reducing travel and because there are some particularly good ones in the area. Last Ofsted around 25% of students were FSM. I would suggest that teaching would be demanding in terms of classroom management and the students will need good teachers to give them improved chances in life. It depends what kind of teaching and setting your friend prefers to be involved in. I am sure the pastoral demands would be significant but that may be an area she enjoys.

Teaching at all saints would be very demanding and challenging.
The position of the school is bang in the middle of one of the most deprived areas of the county. However, that also makes for a rewarding teaching experience.
There are many other schools in the town for those who don't live in the area to go to so no one tends to travel there, meaning the pupils are all local and all know each other outside of school, quite a lot of relations too which does make things more difficult.

Personally, I wouldn't send my children there, however my sister is a teacher and says she would like the experience of teaching at an academy in a deprived area as a learning experience.
