So my child reported some bullies at school. Next thing we know one of the bullies sent an instagram message saying she was going to tell the teacher my child took edibles in school. She said ‘you get me in trouble, i get you in trouble’ next thing we know is that her and 2 other students have said my child was suggesting she was high and took edibles. She told us this was somewhat true however she didnt mention the word edibles.
Now my child admitted that she once tried edibles outside of school a year ago and she admitted it to the school. Her friend admitted this for her so she in turn confessed to one time, at least a year ago.
So my child got suspended from school and she is now back at school and has been told she is a danger to other pupils so must sit in a room alone all day untill christmas and is not allowed to speak to any other students.
My child has never been in trouble for anything before.
There is no sign of any drugs anywhere (no hard evidence)
She has to be searched every single day when she goes to school.
My child is a lazy sloth and i would have found some drug evidence by now as i clean her room daily.
Is there anything i can do to stop her being made out to be a drug addict? Or do we have to continue on and accept the concequences of a one time thing a year ago and what we think was a bad timed joke?
We understand she should not have said what she said to other students and we certainly are concerned she tried edibles but she has always been honest and trust worthy and never been in trouble so we believe her when she says it was the one time.
We are just annoyed at the constant searching without ever having found anything on her
Not sure where we stand but we are concerned.
Do we just accept it and move on?
