DD applied for this via a link in an email from school. It seems to be run by an agency that claims to match "high quality" students up with big name employers and apprenticeship providers. She got an email saying "Congratulations, you have been selected ...". Does anyone know exactly how selective it is? I'm asking because it's 3 full days of webinars at half term, but we have a clash with another planned activity. If she pulls out completely and applies to do it again next time, is she likely to be "selected" again? Alternatively, if she dips in for part of it she won't get "reference" at the end ... but is that something that's worth 3 solid days in front of her laptop to get?

My DD too and I’m wondering the same! Anything on student room?

Crikey! No responses at all? It can’t be well known then can it? I’m thinking it could be ok if your DC has no clue what they fancy but I doubt it’s going to be that enlightening. I think my DD would be better off revising tbh but it’s her choice!

They are all well known companies doing the webinars. But 3 days of back to back sessions 9am to 5pm with just an hour for lunch is a bit intense. I suspect it's a fairly new thing, in response to the pandemic, as they're all companies that would otherwise have big work experience programmes running. Maybe not all schools know about it yet or it's something they have to subscribe to.
