DD is at the school, we did home familiarization rather than a tutor (and we both work), it worked really well for us but appreciate it isnt' for everybody. Bear in mind that some tutors are not good and even the good tutors may not gel with your child. If they just do test papers then question what they are really learning, are they able to differentiate for your child and focus on the areas they are struggling with - how do they identify the types of questions they are repeatedly not getting right etc?
