Hi, does anyone have experience of this state school? My son is currently in private primary, but we're looking to move to Haslemere in a couple of years and I like the fact it's small in number but has large grounds. Any feedback from current or past parents would be much appreciated.

I have no direct experience, but I understand that it has really upped its game in recent years. When I was looking for my children (over 10 years ago) it was a school to avoid. Behaviour was not well managed and I knew two sets of parents who had removed their children because of bullying. One reason it is relatively small was that many Haslemere children went to Bohunt in Liphook instead.

It has a nice site, and I was also attracted to its smaller size, so I really hope it is indeed now being managed better and that some current parents can give you their views.

Thank you that's really useful to know. I did see Bohunt too. We're planning to move to Haslemere area in 3 years time when my son is in year 7. It looks like the catchment areas are much larger than where we are now, do you know if Bohunt is over subscribed?

I went to see it on an open day, thought it was lovely. Put at no2 as it wasn’t easy for us to get to. I didn’t consider bohunt , far too big.

I'm not sure of the current position but Bohunt definitely used to be oversubscribed. I don't know anyone from Haslemere who applied and didn't get a place, but I think it was a bit close for comfort in some cases.

It has grown since we were looking, and now has over 1500 pupils. Like @tootyfruitypickle I think that's too big. However, I think the growth is mainly because it now has a sixth form, which is relatively new.

Also worth mentioning that Midhurst Rother College might be worth a look. I gather that that is also better than it used to be.
