If your dc go there, you know anyone who goes there, you teach there, etc

It's adjacent to a very nice Waitrose
The odd bod from our way goes down there but no-one I know currently
Very good, I believe

Cammelia · 08/10/2007 13:10

Thanks Marina, especially about Waitrose

I have been to look around twice but I would be grateful for other input

It was one of the first schools in the country to adopt the IB. If you want your child to do the IB rather than A-levels, may be a very good option. Quite a lot of foreign pupils. In Sevenoaks, which is very wealthy and has a certain comfortable suburban mindset which you may or may not like.

I think Camm will cope womanfully with the Sevenoaks Set won't you camm!
Yes, IB - big plus
We have two local grammars offering it and they too have Gone on Our List

Marina · 08/10/2007 13:34

Actually come to think of it most of the people I know who went there did so because it was at that time the nearest school that offered the IB
No need for us to travel so far now...will you relocate, out of interest - it's a bit of a hack!

I did part of my PGCE there. Very nice place. Fantastic staff canteen...

Nice kids, on the whole. I would send my kids there, no question, if money were no object...

It was a bit disconcerting having someone's hulking great bodyguard outside my classroom.

This was ten years ago though, it may have changed a bit.

I am very interested in the IB as I think it would suit dd far better than A levels.

I went to look around initially a year ago without dd and then went for a second visit with her very recently.

Have registered her name as a potential boarder (although I do know children who travel from my area as day pupils, I think its too long a commute).

IB is great. Much, much, much better than A-levels.

We won't relocate to Sevenoaks, Marina, have you seen the house prices

If I do move at all it will be in the other direction to Northern France so I can afford the fees
