Where to find advice about writing personal statements?

It’s for DS1 and his university application. I have emailed the school but from experience it could be days before they respond. Any advice or directing to good websites appreciated.

I found the Imperial College info very helpful - this one (I seem to remember) was the admissions tutor for medicine but her advice is suitable for all subjects:

DS used this one to help draft his PS and it did get him an interview at Imperial.
